IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT

On August 23, 2021 at 2:09 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspected impaired driver last seen on Russell Street in Kincardine.

Officers located the vehicle and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. The accused was arrested and taken to the South Bruce OPP detachment for testing with a Qualified Intoxilizer Technician.

A 37-year-old Kincardine woman was charged with Impaired Driving, Operate over 80 milligrams and Dangerous Driving. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on November 3, 2021 to answer to the charges.

SOUTH BRUCE OPP INVESTIGATING A FATAL COLLISION

Deceased identified

On August 24, 2021 at 4:16 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a serious collision along Highway 21 in Kincardine. Officers responded with Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and members of Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services to find a pick-up truck and a motorcycle were involved in the collision.

The passenger on the motorcycle, Sharon TISOR, 55-years-old, of Centre Wellington, was pronounced deceased.

IMPAIRED DRIVER LOSES CONTROL

On August 29, 2021 at 5:11 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision along Bruce County Road 1 in Huron-Kinloss Township. Officers arrived to find that a pick-up truck had left the roadway and come to rest in the ditch. The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol.

Following a roadside screening test, the driver was placed under arrest and taken to the South Bruce OPP Detachment for testing with a Qualified Intoxilizer Technician.

A 25-year-old Huron-Kinloss man was charged with Operate over 80 milligrams. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on October 6, 2021 to answer to the charge.

This charge includes an immediate 90-day driver’s license suspension and an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment.

There were no injuries reported at the scene.

SOUTH BRUCE OPP INVESTIGATING A TWO-VEHICLE FATAL COLLISION

Deceased parties identified

On August 26, 2021 at 2:45 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Bruce County Road 4 and Concession 2 in Culross Township.

The driver of the commercial motor vehicle, Rajinder SANDHU, 25-years-old, of Brampton was pronounced deceased.

The occupants of the passenger vehicle, Sandra SCARROW, 46-years-old, of Huron East, and William STEWART, 56-years-old, of Culross Township were both pronounced deceased.
